You can begin participating in the Chores-For-Charity program as soon as you go to your part-time job.

If you are participating in Chores-For-Charity for community service credit, download the forms from this page and present them to your school for their approval beforehand, if that is necessary.  Your school can modify the program to suit their own requirements.

        Doing Chores-For-Charity is a simple as 1 - 2 - 3

Step 1 - Bring a Volunteer Log to your employer.  The Volunteer Log  can be downloaded from this page.

Step 2 - You can submit the Chores-For-Charity Volunteer Log (or a check stub) and your donations directly to the charity of your choice.  When you send your donation, ask the charity to include the work hours and earnings from your Volunteer Log in their thank you letter acknowledging your donation so that you can count the "unpaid" time as "volunteer time" which may qualify for community service credit. (Also, keep a copy of your Volunteer Log)

You can download a generic volunteer log and use it for the charity of your choice.

Or, download either the Epilepsy Volunteer Log or the ALS Volunteer Log and send your donation to either NYU Medical Center's non-profit organization, Finding a Cure for Epilepsy and Seizures (FACES) or the ALS Foundation.  You can learn more about these very serious diseases in the Featured Charities page.

Step 3 -  Receive recognition for your effort!

You will feel very proud receiving a thank you letter for your donation and experiencing philanthropy at a young age to help change your world for the future.
